For the past 14 years at SMTA International, the committee holds a half day program for all to join and enjoy conversations with their fellow attendees. These programs include technical presentations and round table discussions moderated by industry leaders.

Join us as we explore the galaxy of opportunities in electronics and reach for the stars together to shape the future of technology!

Invited Keynote Presentations

The Women's Leadership Program will start with 2 keynote presentations

from women leaders in the electronics and AI industry.

Invited presentations will be taking place from 1:30pm - 3:00pm

Meet Dr. Hwang: Dr. Hwang's wide-ranging career encompasses international business operation, sustained leadership in worldwide manufacturing and technology services, innovative research, intellectual property management, global leadership positions, as well as corporate and university governance. Her business experience spans across both corporate America and entrepreneurial companies. With 40-year hands-on international business and worldwide manufacturing operation, she has built new business within the corporate America having held senior executive positions with Lockheed Martin Corp., among others, CEO of International Electronic Materials Corp. and co-founded entrepreneurial companies. Currently, her company provides business, technology and manufacturing solutions to the global industry. She has served as an advisor to many Fortune 500 multinational companies, as well as the U.S. government programs. With four decades of globe-trotting experience, she is internationally recognized as a pioneer and long-standing leader in the fast-moving infrastructure development of electronics miniaturization and environment-friendly green manufacturing. The confluence of her international business experience, global market savvy and broad-based technology expertise uniquely positions her to contribute to corporate vision, strategic directions and technological innovations to build global enterprises, driving growth, profits and innovation. She is specially credited in bridging the gap between technology and marketplace, and in bringing innovations to commercialization. Dr. Hwang has served as a board director for Fortune 500 NYSE-traded, NASDAQ-traded, TSX-traded and privately-held companies. In this capacity, she has served on Audit Committee, Nominating and Governance Committee, Strategy and Technology Committee and Compensation Committee. She also has served on university board of Trustees for 20+ years.

Meet Mandy Long: Mandy Long was appointed Chief Executive Officer of BigBear.ai in October 2022. She previously served as Vice President, IBM IT Automation and Vice President, IBM Integration & Application Platform. Prior to that, she served as General Manager, IBM Watson Health Provider Analytics, as well as Chief Product and Strategy Officer, Artificial Intelligence for IBM Watson. She also previously held Vice President of Product Management positions at Modernizing Medicine and Experian Health. Mandy has received multiple awards and recognition for her accomplishments in the fields of Healthcare IT, including as one of the Most Powerful Women in Healthcare IT from Health Data Management in 2017. She earned a B.A. in Economics from Connecticut College.

Join experts and fellow attendees to explore the evolution and innovation of the different electronics manufacturing sectors.

​

Round table discussions will be from 4:00pm-5:00pm. Audience will be able to move around the room every 15 minutes or choose to stay at any table.

We'll conclude the Women’s Leadership Program with our annual Connection Reception. This gathering provides a relaxed atmosphere to continue the conversations from the earlier segments of the WLP, fostering new and renewed connections across the SMTA community

of organizers, speakers, exhibitors and attendees.
